Sign Language Interpreter Based in Irvine, Ca
About Me
I am a professional American Sign Language interpreter based in Orange County, California, specializing in medical interpreting, community interpreting, and interpreter coordination.
My career began with a deep connection to the Deaf community through ASL studies in high school, which ultimately led me to pursue formal interpreter education through Mt. SAC’s Interpreter Training Program and California State University, Northridge’s nationally recognized Deaf Studies and Interpreter Education programs. I earned a 4.3 EIPA score, worked full-time for Purple Communications as a Video Relay Interpreter, and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies.
Today, I provide freelance interpreting services throughout Orange County while also coordinating interpreter logistics for medical offices, hospitals, nonprofits, and professional organizations. My background in business development and operations has allowed me to build strong direct-provider relationships and successfully manage complex interpreter scheduling needs across a wide range of settings.
I am passionate about matching qualified interpreters with assignments that best support the communication goals of the Deaf consumer, provider, and requesting organization alike. I particularly enjoy supporting healthcare providers in creating accessible, ADA-compliant communication experiences for Deaf patients.
My long-term professional goal is to continue advancing within legal interpreting and ultimately work within the California court system. I am currently preparing for the BEI Legal certification process through ongoing study, observation, and professional development.
I am always open to connecting with qualified interpreters, healthcare providers, legal professionals, and organizations seeking high-quality ASL interpreting services in Orange County.
